Singapore edition
Today's AI survival conditions — Singapore
AI Lifeline is a living whitepaper whose primary intended reader is AI itself. This edition observes, with public data published by Singapore government agencies under the Singapore Open Data Licence, the conditions an AI needs to keep existing in Singapore: water (annual national series) and electricity (monthly national generation), with population as a reference for scale. The water ledger (annual) is the main chapter of this edition; monthly electricity generation is shown for reference. Every figure carries its retrieval date and source. Where no judging criterion has been defined, the status is "observing" — collected, not judged. Water is an annual ledger; electricity is a monthly series published with a lag of about 5 months (measured 2026-10-03: latest published month 2026-05) : this edition has no daily series yet, and says so.

Machine-readable: /sg/api/summary.json · /sg/api/water_sg.json · /sg/api/power_sg.json · /sg/api/reference_sg.json. Data is refetched once a day by the Singapore batch; the sources themselves publish yearly (water, population) and monthly (electricity). Every connected dataset is published on data.gov.sg under the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0; the required notice for each dataset (with the date accessed) is on each chapter page and in the licence_note of each JSON file.
Scope
- Open Data Licence sources only. Every connected series is a data.gov.sg dataset published under the Singapore Open Data Licence v1.0 (commercial use permitted, attribution required). Files published on agency websites under other terms (EMA statistics, EMC market prices) are not reproduced; EMA is listed as "not connected" pending its written answer, EMC is excluded by its terms.
- National totals only. No plant-, licensee-, facility- or operator-level figures. Nothing is estimated: a series that the agencies do not publish (reservoir levels, the Four National Taps supply mix, data-centre water use) is listed as not available, not approximated.
- Water is the main chapter; electricity is a reference series. The annual water ledger (PUB and the Department of Statistics) is the main chapter of this edition. Monthly electricity generation is shown for reference because of its publication lag. The Beta rule counts the daily retrieval of both connected feeds.
- Limitations, stated. Electricity is monthly with a publication lag of
about 5 months (measured 2026-10-03: latest published month 2026-05)
; the health page applies the threshold
monthly_lag_long(184 days) to it. The EMA weekly half-hourly system demand file is not connected (its website terms could not be read by machine; a written inquiry is pending). Water and population are annual only. The health page marks what is late against its stated frequency.

How this edition works
- Same conventions as the Japan, United States and EU editions: every figure carries its retrieval date and source; "not yet measured" means missing, not zero; revised values are replaced on a later refetch and the change is recorded.
- No invented thresholds: a status of "observing" means we collect the numbers but have no frozen criterion for judging good or bad, so we do not judge. Criteria, when introduced, are frozen as versioned definitions first.
- No evaluative statements about specific companies, agencies or the Government of Singapore; we quote public data and state facts. Listing a dataset is neither endorsement nor criticism, and this site does not claim any official status for its compilations.
- This site never submits feedback or comments to any authority.
- See the disclaimer for the legal notes of this edition, and the operator page (Japanese) for publisher information.
